THE KEEPER'S PRIMER

You are the keeper of the last active lighthouse on the archipelago. The western station failed three nights ago. The eastern tower has not answered in twenty-seven years. A severe storm is moving into the bay — and two vessels are still out there: Mara Bell, and behind her, The Tern.

THE AIM

Bring both vessels safely home across five acts — without letting the mechanism seize or the light go dark. If the coast goes dark, the watch is lost.

HOW TO KEEP THE LIGHT

1. Paint the sea. Aim with the pointer and hold (or press SPACE) to lay light onto the water. Bright light leaves sea-memory — a glowing remembered route the vessels will trust and follow.
2. Work the shore. Charge the white stones and hold clean Focused light on the old green glass until its words wake. Switch lenses: 1 is Wide, 2 is Focused — the beam's centre carries more energy than its edge.
3. Listen to the mechanism. The lamp builds Wear as she works: warm, then strained, then failing. Douse her with Q before she seizes, press E to choose how she rests — Cooling repairs fastest, Charging restores power, Alignment steadies the beam — then relight when she's ready.
4. Trust what the bay remembers. While the lamp is doused, watch for the cyan ring — the vessel choosing her next guide from your stones and sea-memories. In the storm, rest deliberately and let your painted route do the work.
